Barack Obama takes over as the most likely to win the general election after his win in Iowa. I believe he is now more likely to win the Democratic nomination than Hillary and should face off well with potential Republicans. |
#2 |
John McCain continues to poll the best against Democrats. He is the only Republican that has led Democrats in recent general election polls. Now that he is a small favorite to win the Republican nomination he becomes the second most likely election winner. |
#3 |
Rudy Giuliani has a decent chance of winning the Republican nomination and would likely draw a decent amount of support outside the Republican party in a general election. |
#4 |
Hillary Clinton falls all the way to fourth after Iowa. She went from a heavy favorite to a slight underdog for the Democratic nomination. I don't think Hillary would fare well in a general election. Too many people are unwilling to vote for her. |
#5 |
John Edwards gets the fifth and final place solely because I think he could do well in a general election. I don't think he will ever get a chance but he polls very well against Republicans. |
