Gubernatorial Elections
Currently out of the 50 states, 28 are led by Democratic Governors and 22 by Republicans. Elections in 2007 and 2008 will likely change the numbers.
In 2007, there will be three states will gubernatorial elections in Louisiana, Mississippi and Kentucky. The red states are Republican Governors and the blue states are Democratic Governors.

In 2008, there will be 11 states holding elections for Governor. Currently of these states 6 are held by Democrats and 5 by Republicans.
