2008 House Races


In 2008 there will be 435 Congressional seats up for election. All 435 seats are up for election every two years. Currently there are 202 Republican held seats and 233 Democratic held seats. The Republicans would need to net 16 seats to take back the majority they lost in the 2006 midterm elections.


House Election News


U.S. Congressman Charlie Norwood (10th District of Georgia) passed away Feb. 13th, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. His seat will be vacant until a special election can be held to replace him.
