2007 Kentucky Election for Governor
Republican Governor Ernie Fletcher is running for his second term. Fletcher has one of the lowest approve ratings in the country and will face serious completion from his opponent Steve Beshear. In the latest poll, Beshear is leading Fletcher by 2 points, 40% to 38%.
Fletcher easily defeated Former Republican U.S. Congresswoman Anne Northup from Kentucky's 3rd District in the Tuesday May 22nd Primary. He will face Democratic Former Lt. Governor Steve Beshear in the General Election who defeated 5 other Democrats.
